Orbital Welding
Kleen Tech Orbital Welding Services
The American Welding Society (AWS) reports that more than 20% of welding professionals are nearing retirement, and estimates that between 2025 and 2029, an average of 80,000 welding positions will need to be filled each year.
It’s clear that finding skilled welders will become increasingly challenging in the coming years — let us handle your welding projects so you don’t have to worry.

Let Us Handle the Welding
At Kleen Tech, we introduced our orbital welding program years ago to give customers an extra layer of support. Our in-house team of factory-trained, ASME IX–certified weld operators and inspectors has experience welding stainless steel tubing systems for a wide range of applications — from basic weldments to complex spool pieces, serving industries from general manufacturing to sanitary and high-purity environments.
Why Choose Our Orbital Welding Services:
- Specialized Expertise – Our orbital weld operators are true fluid system specialists.
- Strict Quality Standards – We adhere to precise concavity and convexity tolerances.
- Helium Leak Testing – Every weld assembly is tested to guarantee safety and quality.
- No Scrap, No Rework – We deliver a finished component ready for direct installation.
- Material Excellence – Our products maintain a consistent chromium, nickel, and sulfur balance to ensure weld integrity and quality, which is especially critical for high-purity applications.
Ongoing Commitment
Our operators complete thousands of welds each year, offering vital support to companies facing workforce shortages. To maintain this value, we continually invest in enhancing our team’s skills and advancing the quality of our welding work.

Argon Purge System
We installed a central argon gas system to yield greater efficiencies of scale and higher quality, cleaner welds.

Scotchman Circular Cold Saw
Full automation capability to produce precise, repeatable stainless steel tube cuts.

Precision Fixtures
Reduces weld variability; streamlines set up and inspection

Digital Industrial Endoscope
Enables inspection of tubing and provides visible proof of internal weld quality.

Clean Room
Enables us to perform welds for ultra high purity applications.
Local Technical Support
Whether you are purchasing or renting our weld equipment, you have access to our local subject matter experts for technical support and training to assure maximum productivity.
- Emergency equipment substitution
- On-site demonstrations and training for your team
- Everything but the Gas – Units delivered with everything needed to weld; complete and ready to go (gas supply not provided)
- Fast turnaround of equipment repairs and servicing
Calibration
We are certified locally to calibrate welders. We provide free pickup and delivery between our three local offices in Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse.
- A certificate of calibration will be provided that includes results of current, voltage, and weld head speed.
- M200 power supply will be cleaned, calibrated and tested. This also includes software upgrade.
Orbital Welding
Orbital welding is a semi-automated process that joins two components by fusing them directly, without the use of additional filler material. It’s especially suited for critical applications where weld integrity and high-purity standards are essential.

Key Benefits of orbital welding
Whether you have a preliminary drawing or just an idea, it’s not too early to consult with our fluid system experts for our support:
- Repeatable, accurate welds
- High volume weld capacity
- 100% penetration of weld
- Suitable for nearly all industry applications
- No additional weld material is used making it ideal for critical applications requiring weld integrity and high purity
- Real-time monitoring and data recording
- Cost effective and reliable gas tungsten arc welds
- Lightweight, portable power supply
- Selection of weld heads
- Variety of tools and accessories
Equipment We Offer for Purchase or Rental
For use with our complete line of tubing, weld fittings and valves:
- Tube Saw
- M200 Orbital Power Supplies
- Weld Heads ranging from micro to 40 head (for tubing with outside diameters of 1/16″ to 4″)
- Wide range of collet sizes for all weld heads
- Facing Tools and their respective collets

Purge Kits and Systems
Gas purge is a critical process for welding, but one where vital equipment is often overlooked. Kleen Tech offers pre-built gas purge package accessories that ensure your weld operators have everything they need on Day 1 of the project.
In addition to UHP purge kits, We provides individual UHP purge equipment and complete gas delivery systems:
- Distribution Manifold
- Purge Panel
- Purge Tree
- Gas Stick
- Purge Stick
Each of these pieces come in standardized designs, with BOMs and part numbers for straightforward ordering, but are easily customizable to the demands of your project.
